2017 Convention Report
Every once in a while we all need a reminder to keep things simple in our ministry. The programming, planning, decorating, and coordinating are all important, but they can overshadow the true purpose of our ministry - to connect women with Jesus. Isn't that whey we're doing this in the first place?
At the core, each of us (including each woman in your ministry) wants to be known and valued, to feel wanted and worthy. While we know that Jesus si the only answer for these things, as ministry leaders we have the opportunity to be Jesus to those people God puts in our path. And that can be done simply - without a lot of programs, special events, and other things that sometimes distract us from our true purpose.
"Maybe it's time to simplify and ask God to reveal who you need to connect with." (Group Women's Ministries)
In the Pacific Region North we are asking God to do a new thing in our women's ministries and align us better and closer in tune with His desires for us, His people, our (His) time, our (His) resources, our (His) energies, to be used all for His glory and the expansion of His Kingdom.
As we continue to coordinate meaningful events throughout the year that bring us together for encouragment, study, instruction, learning, applicaition, challenge, and growth, we are changing things up, doing thisngs on differnt days and different times than it's traditionally been done in order to adapt and reach out. Younger women have been given more opportunities for their creative input and are given more responsibilities in serving our region alongside others. We're especially looking forward to enyoying a more direct relationship with our PRN Executive Board and learning to collaborate an dplan meaningful events toghter with a schedule that won't exhaust our people with too many choices of things to do throughout the year.
The annual retreats, special events, workshops, Bible stues, mission outreach, teas and self-defense classes will continue, but with a renewed, intentional and focuses vision that the Lord will give us as we faithfully follow His lead.

2016 Convention Report
Each year starts out, as it did again this year in January, with prioritizing the care and nourishing of our PRN Pastors’ Wives with two Youth Leader Wives joining us for the first time at our PW retreat. The “Do-It-Yourself” (food, games, devotions, music) retreat’s theme of “Fight Back with JOY” (Margaret Feinberg’s DVD) proved to be an inspiration and encouragement to all, especially the times of sitting around and sharing and praying together. We see this having a positive “ripple” effect as cared for PW’s have more of a tendency to be equipped to care for their Pastor husband and joyfully use their gifts to serve their church.
Our PRN WM’s theme the past 2 years has been to showcase and highlight women serving in various volunteer capacities within the church and in our communities through hearing their testimonies and finding out what motivates them and encourages them to keep on serving, as well as providing opportunities to serve. This year in February at our Mid-Winter event, in trying to balance our serving with time in the Word, we wanted to focus on “Growing Deeper-Saturday Night Life Together” by having Alyssa McIvor lead us through an interactive Bible study of I John to find how to live. Our hunger for “growing-deeper “ in the Word and in Fellowship with one another was well met , yet we continue to desire even more, so will strive to plan and provide such opportunities for the women to participate in Regionally as well as encourage it to continue on in their local church.
Annual Fall Retreats are always a highlight with about 100 in attendance and hosted by a different church each year. Ruth Vallevik, our Director of Women’s Ministries lead us through a study of HOPE in October 2015, hosted by the Word of Life Marysville ladies at The Firs Conference Center. This fall we look forward to what the Hope ladies of Everett Church have in store for us with their “in-house” retreat plans, continuing with the theme of “The Lord is my Strength, Song and Salvation.”
We’re tossing around the idea of making our up-coming PRNWM Annual Meeting in June at our Region’s Family Bible Camp at Warm Beach Conference Center some kind of a “town-hall” type of gathering, since we’re into the election year and all. What do you think? Of course, not discussing about who should be U.S. President, rather are we hearing, knowing, understanding and meeting the needs of our women that we minister to and inspiring and equipping them to be ministers as we are all called to be? How can we continue to improve? Ask me how it went after you read this in July. Follow us for fun ideas, pictures and discussion on Facebook at CLB Pacific Region-North Women’s Ministries.
