FOCUS PROJECT: BEYOND SUFFERING Equipping churches in East Asia for disability ministry
Children with disabilities and their families face a lot of challenges in East Asia. It’s considered a shame to have a child with a disability. These families are also challenged as services are not widely available.
Over the last ten years we have seen individual local believers who have started ministries for children with disabilities and their families. More recently, we are noticing a growing interest from churches who want to get involved in mercy ministries, but they often don’t know how.
This ministry project is aimed at getting local churches involved in ministry to children with disabilities and their families. The main strategy is developing a study package for the churches on how to go about setting up a disability ministry and then use that to provide actual training.
