SWEET Retreat - September 2011 (Seminary Women Encouraging, Equipping and Training retreat)
These women bonded together as wives of the current Seminary class at Lutheran Brethren Seminary, thanks to your gifts!
A retreat designed just for them is our blessing to them each year as they begin the school year.
This year Bee Larson, wife of Pastor Paul Larson, from Bethesda, Eau Claire, WI, was the speaker.

PASTORS' WIVES Retreat are planned for each Region. Here's the first one:
Central Region Pastors' Wives Retreat - Oct. 2011
On October 14-16, 2011, twelve women gathered together at Inspiration Point Bible Camp for the Central Region Pastors’ Wives Retreat. The Retreat was led by Ruth Vallevik, Director of Women's Ministries CLB. Ruth facilitated the weekend using a curriculum developed by the WMCLB titled “Come to the Fire”, which focused on “seeking the Lord, to rekindle our love for Him and for the high calling and privilege of serving Him and His children”.
The weekend gave our pastors wives time to “get away from it all” so that they could relax and rejuvenate themselves personally and spiritually. In addition to the teaching seminars, the ladies had an opportunity to attend a kitchen demonstration by the Inspiration Point chef on how to make Stromboli (yum!) and Ruth wowed us by demonstrating cool new ways to tie a scarf (thanks for that Ruth!!). At the end of the weekend, each of the ladies received a gift bag filled with items donated by the Women’s Ministries from our Regional churches. Thank you to all of the churches that donated items, your thoughtfulness was appreciated!

September 25-26, 2009 was the date for the SWEET Retreat (Seminary Women Encouraging, Equipping, and Training Retreat) at Inspiration Point Bible Camp, Clitherall, Minnesota. These women were enriched through the teaching of Ruth Vallevik, the worship skills of Michele Foss, and more.
