WMCLB PROJECTS AT A GLANCE

2008 - 2009 Projects

 

NAM (North American Missions): Project funds will be divided in two ways:

$1700 to fund assessments, training, and travel for potential church developers in Littleton, CO.

$3000 to fund Mission Impact part-time salary and administrative expenses to carry out summer projects in 2008 and to prepare for summer projects in 2009.Youth mission teams will spend August of both years in Florida churches.

 

Training Mission (Seminary): Project funds will be divided in four ways:

$1000 to fund Seminary Scholarships for women enrolled in Seminary classes.

$2200 to fund the Seminary Women’s Retreat (SWEET) in the fall of 2008.

$1000 to fund child care for the children of women enrolled or auditing classes in Seminary.

$ 500  to fund Bible Study material for two studies for the seminary women.

 

International Mission (World Missions):

$4700  to fund Kathy Wile’s ongoing and vital ministry to missionary women in Africa and Asia.

 

Hillcrest Lutheran Academy:

$1100 to provide Hillcrest Girls Resident Life Staff with training from Youth Leadership, a group from Minneapolis, MN. This will take place the week before Hillcrest begins.

 

NWMT Special Project:

$2,000 to enhance the Director of Women’s Ministries ministry in each district, including more contact with local WM groups.

H.E.L.P.:  Household Equipment Linen Project (formerly Linen Fund)

Provides funds to alleviate the cost of missionary family needs when going overseas or returning for furlough, as well as aiding retiring missionaries to help set up their households upon returning to the homeland. Please send funds to either:

Box-Top and Campbell Soup Label Contest:

Each District is competing to gather the greatest number of labels (including box-tops) for the “Labels for Education” Project.

Please continue to send labels and box-tops to:

Be certain to identify your district for contest credit. Send by April 30^th each year.

 

Digital StoryBook:

A Digital StoryBook is being kept to preserve an account of our times for the future.

The National, District, and Local Teams are encouraged to send photo CD’s of special events. Please include a description of the event, a caption for each picture, including names of the people in the picture.
