Past event: Pacific Southwest Women's Spring Retreat
The PSWD WM Retreat was held the weekend of March 31, April 1 & 2, 2006 at Best Western Inn Suites in Yuma, AZ with 60 women were in attendance.

We were very privileged to have Suzi Kallam minister to us on the theme of being “Deeply Loved/Firmly Planted”. Our theme verse was Isaiah 61:3b “They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor”.
Suzi brought inspiring words and encouragement to us along with her down to earth humor. We were very Blessed to have her.

Our Praise and worship time was led again this year by Ronda Rubio from Rancho Cucamonga. The songs she chose lifted our hearts and minds to focus on our Lord and blessed us richly.

The Holy Spirit was truly present and working in our hearts. It was a very inspirational weekend.

Leadership Training for women held January 21-22, 2006

Sunny California was the setting for the Pacific Southwest (PSW) annual district meeting and J-term held January 21-22 at Victoria Community Church, Rancho Cucamonga, California. District delegates, pastors, and women of the district were invited to be part of these training sessions with seminary professors Dr. David Veum and Dr. Gaylan Mathiesen.

Here are some gems gleaned from sessions:

During break time, women were given information and encouraged to plan to attend the March 31-April 1,2 PSW District retreat in Yuma, AZ with speaker Suzi Kallam on the theme: “Deeply Loved, Firmly Planted.”

Spring retreat held April 22-24, 2005
The theme for the Pacific Southwest District Women's Ministries Retreat was "Living Wisely in an Uncertain World." Our speaker, Joan Webb, author of the book The Intential Woman had inspiring sessions using the anacronym W.I.S.E.
W - well balanced living
I - inside out lving
S- surrendered living
E - empowered living

In this busy world for women today we must look to the Lord to help us make wise choices in every area of our home, church and workplace.

This retreat was held from April 22-24, 2005 at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Phoenix, AZ. This was the 27th annual retreat, with 51 women attending. We were priviileged to have Rhonda Rubio as our Praise & Worship leader; she made that time so inspiring.

During our free time Saturday afternoon, we could have a hand waxing, and learn Pampered Chef garnishing. The annual variety show on Saturday night consisted of skits from each church with much fun and laughter. This time together was so refreshing and the Lord's presence so evident. We praise and thank Him.
