PNW District Retreat

Port Orchard, WA

October 3-5 was an uplifting weekend for the sixty-eight ladies who attended our annual PNW District Retreat. We met at Miracle Ranch in Port Orchard, WA, and even though we had rain (nothin' new in Washington state!), the surroundings were cozy and warm.

The ladies from Rock of Ages in Seattle and Community Church of Joy in Sammamish were our gracious hosts, and women from within our own district had been asked to share their life stories and testimonies. To hear these ladies share so openly from the heart about God's faithfulness in their various circumstances in life was a very moving and encouraging experience for all of us.

A special highlight was the beautiful quilt made by the CCOJ ladies. Raffle tickets had been sold during the weeks leading up to the retreat; over $785 was raised for our CLB missionaries!

Recent event:
June 25, 2008: Pacific Northwest Annual Meeting at Warm Beach Bible Camp - speaker: Leanne Teves and daughter Rachel from Hawaii delighted us with their message of hope; they even taught us to hula dance! We held our annual officer election, and our current officers are:
