November 7-9, 2008: Eastern District Fall Retreat at Tuscarora Inn and Conference Center -

Judy Siegle, speaker, "Living without Limits."

It happened so quickly! In a split second, Judy’s dream of playing college basketball was shattered when a drunk driver sped through a stop sign near her hometown. The car crash left her with a broken neck. At 18, she faced life in a wheelchair.

The changes and challenges she now faced to live a life of independence eventually made her dependent on the Lord! His work in and through her will inspire you to trust Him – through both the blessings and the hardships of life!

So what challenges you? Where do you find strength? Our retreat speaker, Judy Siegle, will lead you to some answers. Come! Be challenged and inspired to “Live Without Limits”

Theresa Szobody - Missionary Speaker

Theresa’s husband, Paul, instructs future missionaries and ministers of the gospel and leads the mission focus at the Lutheran Brethren School of Theology in Chad, Africa. Christ has called Paul and Teresa and their family to invest their lives into these future leaders and their families.

Bring a friend and join us for a weekend of encouragement, fellowship and growing in Christ. We will have fun, be challenged and grow as we discover that there are no limits to what God can do.

Our Missions giving will be supported this year by a “Silent Auction”. We are asking each church to bring 5 or more items to donate. Please set aside any items you might want to donate, whether out of your fall cleaning, business inventory reduction or purchased items. Projects will be supported by the proceeds from the Silent Auction.

A few of the opportunities for fun and fellowship:

Scrapbooking – bring your pictures. If you have albums and/or supplies, bring them also.

Exercise – Volleyball, walking, tennis, basketball or Pilates. Bring your sneakers!

Knitting and crocheting – bring that project you’ve been trying to finish.
