We invite you to join us in praying for the missionaries that the Church of the Lutheran Brethren supports. We invite you to also join us in praying for Lutheran Brethren pastors in church planting and re-start efforts in the U.S. and Canada.

" Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that He will send forth laborers into His harvest" Luke 10:2 (KJV)
Praise God for His provision, and ask His blessings on our Director of Women's Ministries of the Church of the Lutheran Brethren
Ruth’s passion is to see women first of all come to know the Lord as
Savior, to grow in wisdom and knowledge of Him and of His Word, and to see them
become active, committed followers of Jesus who in turn seek to bring others to
Him.
The broader focus of Women’s Ministries (“Ministry By, Through,
and To Women of the CLB”), was implemented through the leadership of Ruth as
chair of the Vision Task Force for National WMF. She believes this is a
critical tool that God can and is using to see His Kingdom work accomplished.
Ruth has had experience in women’s ministries at the local,
district, and national level, as well as experience in public speaking,
teaching and writing. From childhood,
Ruth has been affiliated with the Lutheran
Brethren Church.
Her father, Joseph Aarhus, was a pastor, as well as her husband, Bruce Vallevik.
Ruth has recently moved to Billings, Montana
after the loss of her husband following a long illness. She began her ministry
on April 1, 2006 and was commissioned at the National Women's Convention in Fergus
Falls on June 10, 2006. Sunday, November 20, 2005 was the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Christians around the world. I was stunned to read that 200 million believers are suffering for their faith in Jesus Christ! My first reaction was to the great number being persecuted and then it dazed me to realize the reality of how many believers there must be in our day and then I thought - what an impact we should be making...if each of the millions of believers would PRAY, would reach ONE soul for the Lord this year and the next, etc. the Lord could come very soon. Well, we best get to work. Let's PRAY first!
